CREAMY PASTA BAKE

Makes 8 servings.


A casserole containing pasta, spinach, kale, sauce and 2 cheeses.



2 oz grated Romano cheese
2 cups chopped kale
12 oz dry ziti pasta, cooked
2 1/2 cups reduced fat milk
1/2 tsp garlic powder
2 tbs butter
3 oz shredded sharp Cheddar cheese
4 cups chopped spinach
1/2 cup half and half
1/2 tsp salt
3 tbs flour


Heat oven to 350°. Melt butter in a saucepan, whisk in garlic powder, flour and salt and cook 2 min. Add milk and cream, whisk and cook until creamy and thick, 5 min. Combine pasta, spinach, kale, sauce and cheeses and toss. Place in a casserole dish, cover and bake 30 min. then SERVE...Goes great with ham, if desired.
